At Sydney sash window factory we specialise in the repair and replication of sash windows and other heritage items such as bespoke doors, barge boards etc.
Sydney sash window factory is the custom manufacturing side of Old school carpentry. www.oldschoolcarpentry.com.au where we can remake window sashes, effect repairs to double hung sash windows, upgrade glass, provide draught seals or create replacement doors or whatever is required, so no third party is required resulting in higher quality and quicker lead times.
Everything is hand crafted using traditional joinery methods such as Mortice and tenon joinery, using a wide range of timber’s such as accoya, cedar, merbau, New Guinea rosewood and thermally modified hemlock to name a few.
The owner Darren Stewart has over 36 yrs experience in carpentry and joinery, having served a full apprenticeship in Scotland, Uk and working in the various national trust and historic Scotland listed buildings. Old school carpentry has been predominantly repairing sash windows in Sydney since 2008 and have hundreds of of satisfied repeat customers.

Sash window repairs - Darren from Old School Carpentry is a master craftsman in all respects. His workmanship and his customer service are both outstanding. I can not recommend Darren more highly and will be happily having Darren back to work further on the remaining windows in the house which require a full replacement. Darren expertly returned our double hung sash windows to beautiful working order and installed his draught seal to each. Nothing was straightforward in our heritage house but nothing phased Darren. His prices are also excellent value. The outcome is one very happy customer and home with beautifully restored windows, a lovely breeze (previously none opened nor could open with missing parts) and no breeze at all when the windows are closed. Sash window repair - Darren came to look and quote for some window repairs. Turns out it was a much bigger job than I initially thought once her looked. We needed 4 new sashes along with some other work! It took time but they came out beautifully.
